This 1986.5 Porsche 928 S with a guards red exterior and a full black leather interior comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was first imported to Pioneer Porsche Audi in La Mesa California. At 69,036 miles it was then sold to its second owner in Seattle Washington where it spent the majority of its life before coming back to California.
Along with the full black leather interior, It was also ordered with rub strip side molding delete giving the body a smoother look.
The 1986.5 model was the last year for the original 928 body design but incorporated the next generation S4 suspension. This included redesigned upper and lower front control arms, swaybar and drop links. The brakes were upgraded to the bigger Brembo 4 piston calipers which also included ABS. The factory also updated the exhaust system going from a two pipes into one single intermediate muffler positioned on the drivers side, to a true duel exhaust system using two separate mufflers with one muffler mounted on the drivers side and the other mounted on the passenger side. The rear mounted battery box was also shortened to allow the exhaust pipes to be routed through. This also allowed for a smaller and lighter battery to be installed.
