In June 2013, Porsche unveiled a very special 911 to commerate 50 years since the first 911 was created. Only 1963 limited examples were built worldwide and only 600 were shipped to the U.S. Only three color options were offered, black, Graphite Grey and Geyser Grey Metallic. It came with a 3.8 liter H6 engine producing 430 HP with the power kit. A wider body was used to accommodate the extra power similar to the turbo and C4S models.
Special wheels made by Fuchs to pay tribute to the air cooled 911 were only offered on the 50th Anniversary Edition. Checkered inserts on the leather seats were also a unique addition paying homage to the classic.
Porsche created not only a 911 that was a one of a kind in power, handling and comfort, but they also created a 911 that looks very sophisticated, sexy and reminds us of its heritage.
This particular 50th Anniversary 911 is number 1086 out of the series and comes in a Geyser Grey Metallic exterior and a black leather interior w/ checkered inserts. It has the rarer 7-speed manual transmission and has been garage kept and meticulously cared for. It has just received a oil service and brake fluid flush and has also received a new set of Pirelli P-Zero tires.
